Princess Nokia releases new video for pop punk anthem featuring full band

Princess Nokia has released the latest video from her recent mixtape, "A Girl Cried Red" (Rough Trade Records). The dynamic and outspoken New York rapper—aka Destiny Frasqueri—co-directed the video for her pop punk anthem  “Look Up Kid” with frequent collaborator Milah Libin. The visual sees Frasqueri embracing her rock roots and performing with a full band.

At the end of May Princess Nokia kicked off a European tour including headline and festival shows before returning to the U.S. for newly announced shows including House of Vans in Chicago, Long Beach, CA’s Music Tastes Good and more. See all tour dates below.

The shape-shifting emcee has been releasing music via YouTube and Soundcloud since she was in high school and catapulted herself to the next level with her 2017 album "1992 Deluxe"—selling out venues across the globe and steadily gaining tens of millions of streams. A "Girl Cried Red" showcases another fully formed side of Destiny that still taps into the uncompromising feminist ideology of Princess Nokia, and will undoubtedly cement her place in the alternative underground as well as the hip-hop world.
